SoCa is excited to announce the upcoming Murals4Change Paint Day! SoCa’s CARES4You research project, led by Dr. Phillips, has been collaborating with the nonprofit organization Goundswell NYC on the Murals4Change program to foster the painting of a community mural in Brooklyn. Groundswell NYC’s initiatives work with youth to encourage creativity and highlight the power of art in society. Participating students have spent the last few months designing a mural that uplifts SoCa’s mission to reduce cancer rates across NYC and depicts a clear vision for the future. On March 19 th SoCa and Groundswell will host the Community Paint Day where students, along with their friends and families, will come together bring their mural design to life. SoCa is thrilled to be a part of this historic work of art’s creation!
